Remembering Lidano Liberatori

1941 - 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lidano Liberatori, beloved brother of our founder and President, Pino Liberatori. Lidano passed away this week in his hometown of Sezze, Italy, at the age of 84.

Born in Sezze on December 19, 1941, Lidano was the first of the Liberatori brothers to leave Italy for Canada, arriving with little more than determination and a willingness to work. Once he had established himself, he sponsored his younger brother Pino to join him, opening the door to the life and legacy our family has built here.

The two brothers lived together as roommates for years, working various jobs side by side as they found their footing in a new country. Together they taught themselves the drywall finishing trade, mastering the craft through hands-on experience and laying the foundation for everything that followed. Through those early years they built not only their careers, but their families and their lives in Canada.

In 1983, Lidano returned to Italy, settling back in Sezze, the town where his story began and where it came to a close, surrounded by the place he always called home. Though an ocean separated the brothers for the past four decades, the bond they forged in those early years in Canada never faded.

None of it would have been possible without Lidano. His courage in coming first, and his generosity in bringing his brother along, are woven into the story of this company and this family. Every project we complete carries a piece of that beginning.

To his children, grandchildren, and all who loved him, we extend our deepest sympathies. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
